DESIGN & BUILD
Above all, Realme C3’s body is made up of plastic. With 3D print on its back. This news design is called ‘Sunrise’ design that was first introduced on the Realme 5i and than to Realme C3
Launching with 2 color variants: Blazing Red and Frozen Blue, infect being so much flashy in color both of these variants are available in same price.
Here we have spotted micro-USB port, which is a old thing for consumers.
Furthermore, the upscale models of the brand such as Realme 8 & Realme 8A are already upgraded to new type of C-port and still has the same 3.5mm headphone jack, which is expected with a budget phones.
In contrast to silk design the phone weighs around 195g, which considered light enough. And also it does not come with a Glass protection at back as most on phones are having in these days.
Taking about physical buttons, we get the volume buttons are present on the left side and the power button is present on the right side. The SIM slot has 2 nano SIM card space and a memory card slot is located at the right edge.
There is no fingerprint sensor but you will get the face unlock option, which is so cool. There is also an anti-fingerprint surface that does not gather dust or smudges, and its easy to keep clean.
It comes with a 6.5-inch display which will surely entice a lot of customers, along with the 270-pixel density that seems to be quite low for 2020
Realme C3 operates at HD+ resolutions, which can be considered okay because of its price range.
It also has a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection which is good, and can save your screen from most of damage.
Taking about its brightness, it does not satisfy at all specially under direct sun light.
It also got a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels with a 2.5D panel with 269 PPI. Even more it got a mini drop notch similarly to realme 5s and realme 5i.
The color tad are so good along good colorful and sharp with just one issue that is the brightness.
The phone has camera supports features like HDR, Nightscape, Slow-mode, Portrait mode, and so much more.
Above all this phone come along 2 rear camera and single front camera:
- REAR CAMERA:
- 12-megapixel main sensor with f/1.8 aperture and 1.25μm ultra-large single-pixel area
- also a 2-megapixel secondary camera with f/2.4 aperture.
- FRONT CAMERA:
- 5-megapixel AI front camera
During the day light, the images taken are with sufficient sharpness, considering its price point, these images are taken with Chroma Boost but they are not as detailed as the HDR mode offers.
You can also use Chroma Boost and HDR mode together for amazing photos, but you have to wait for few seconds to take some depth shots else you will get some blurry terrible shots.
We can take some zoom shots up to 4X zoom.
FRONT CAMERA with 5MP sensor:
It lacks in details and have patches in it, and that inbuilt AI does also make you a few shades lighter.
REAR CAMERA with a 12-megapixel main sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary camera:
It also take HDR or non-HDR images, and there is a depth sensor for added Bokeh effects – the blur strength is adjustable and the shots of the flower below shows it at 60% and 80%.
For both primary and secondary cameras there is 1080p video recording, also there is no stabilization during recording, due to that we get a shaky image.
Slow-motion videos can be recorded in 480p at 30 fps, which can also comes in decent quality.
PERFORMANCE AND BATTERY
Considering it a budget phone we are not expecting much from it, however it gives good performance, it comes with a 4GB RAM that comes pretty handy as we were not able to find any kind of lag during hours of continues multitasking.
Here we also get a face recognition, which is very good as it works very quick in every even in different lighting conditions.
On the behalf of the experts it can be said that the performance of its processor is quite better than most of the more costly mobiles in this range. Even more the graphics are quite good as well.
In regards to GAMING this phone can easily handle heavy games in full HD such as PUBG.
However there are some issue, if you will use the phone for more than 10-15 minutes on heavy duty, it get hot due to thermal heating, but this does not seems to be a big deal when you are getting so much is such a price.
Furthermore we encountered ads in the theme store and Security Check page after you install a application, and you cant do anything to stop it, else going into the Settings > Additional Settings > Get Recommendations >Turn off.
The phone comes with a 5,000 mAh battery life, which is really so huge. It can last for more than 2 days even after heavy use including multitasking and playing heavy games as CALL OF DUTY and PUBG.
In an HD Video loop test, it went almost for 28 hours, even more it does not show any significant signs of thermal heating.
Even more taking about the charging speed it comes with 10W charger, about which we cant complain due to its price and it takes around 3 hours to completely charge it.
